Household of chess prodigy Shreyas Royal can apply for a brand new visa

The household of a nine-year-old chess prodigy from India have been informed they will apply to remain within the UK when his father’s work visa expires.

Shreyas Royal has lived in Britain since he was three years outdated.

His household had been informed they must return to India when the visa expired in September.

However on Friday, his father, Jitendra Singh, acquired an e mail from the Residence Workplace saying he would have the ability to apply to remain below a brand new work visa.

Mr Singh informed the BBC the household was “very pleased and relieved”.

“Shreyas began leaping on the couch. He was so excited that they’re contemplating letting us keep,” he stated.

Shreyas was born in India however has lived in south London because the age of three when his father was supplied a job as an IT challenge supervisor.
