British girl impaled by umbrella on US seaside


A girl from London was impaled by a seaside umbrella after it flew in the direction of her as a consequence of robust winds on the US east coast, police have stated.

Margaret Reynolds, 67, was on a seaside at Seaside Heights in Ocean County, New Jersey, when the freak accident occurred on Monday afternoon, with police and hearth crews each known as to the scene.

The Asbury Park Press reported that the umbrella pierced her proper ankle and was utterly pushed via due to the “drive of the wind”.

Native police chief Tommy Boyd informed the newspaper {that a} bolt cutter was used to chop via the aluminium umbrella to free her.
