Two homeless males in Berlin have been rushed to hospital with life-threatening burns, after they had been doused in flammable liquid and intentionally set on hearth.

The lads, aged 47 and 62, had been attacked on the metropolis’s Schöneweide prepare station shortly earlier than midnight on Sunday.

Witnesses managed to place out the flames with a hearth extinguisher from a close-by kebab store, German media report.

The 47-year-old sufferer is claimed to be in a coma.

Police have launched an investigation for tried homicide.

The offender has not but been recognized, and the motive is unknown.

Officers had been seen in a single day on Sunday looking out the torched stays of the lads’s blankets, pillows and few possessions.

The unnamed victims are stated to be German residents.

That is removed from the primary assault on Berlin’s homeless inhabitants lately.

In 2016, seven younger individuals attacked a homeless man within the Schönleinstraße underground station on Christmas Day, trying to set him on hearth.

A prepare driver used a hearth extinguisher to manage the flames as passers-by helped to place them out.

Although the sufferer was not significantly injured, the assault shocked Germany.

The ringleader was jailed for 2 years and 9 months.
