A specialist riot unit was despatched to a six-hour disturbance in a jail which regulators had in comparison with “a dungeon”.
The Twister staff was deployed at HMP Bedford after the incident was reported at 14:35 GMT on Saturday, mentioned the Jail Service.
It was contained to at least one wing and resulted in no accidents to employees or prisoners, it added.
