A person has been rescued after he plunged 800ft into the crater of a dormant volcano in Oregon.
The US coast guard obtained a name from the Crater Lake Nationwide Park service after he fell down close to Rims Village.
An aircrew arrived on the scene round 4:28pm on Monday, with a rope workforce already 600ft down the crater.
The workforce reported that they may hear a person yelling from additional down inside.
A coast guard helicopter crew was hovering above the injured man inside 15 minutes of arriving on the scene.
They then hoisted the person out of the crater earlier than touchdown in a close-by automobile park.
He was flown to town of Bend in Oregon for remedy, the coast guard stated in a Fb submit.
