The star of the brand new movie Yesterday has spoken of his “wonderful” time working with the director Danny Boyle and singer Ed Sheeran.
Ex-EastEnders actor Himesh Patel, from Cambridgeshire, performs a singer-songwriter who’s the one one who can bear in mind The Beatles.
He stated it was a “privilege” to work with Boyle and author Richard Curtis.
“It is an incredible a part of the job to get to work with such unbelievable movie makers,” he stated.
The Beatles-inspired film, filmed in Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk, included a scene with 6,000 extras in Gorleston-on-Sea.
Patel, who’s from Huntingdon, seems reverse Downton Abbey actress Lily James, and the film has cameos from Sheeran and James Corden.
The movie imagines a world with out the Beatles during which Patel’s character claims the Fab 4’s hits are his personal.
Patel stated his involvement with the Key Youth Theatre in Peterborough and the Actors Theatre Firm in Cambridge helped him safe his half in EastEnders.
He stated he loved assembly Framlingham singer-songwriter Sheeran: “He was nice, very beneficiant with an ideal sense of humour.
“He was actually interested in what we do and he was very relaxed as a performer.”
The film, which is formally launched on 28 June, noticed filming in Clacton, on the Latitude Competition close to Southwold and at Ormiston Denes Academy in Lowestoft.
