Caleb Ewan edged an exhilarating dash end to win stage 11 of the Tour de France – the Australian’s first-ever stage win.
The Lotto Soudal rider hunted down stage favorite Dylan Groenewegen and pipped him on the road in Toulouse.
Italian Elia Viviani completed the 167km flat experience from Albi in third place.
France’s Julian Alaphilippe retained the general chief’s yellow jersey whereas Geraint Thomas stays second after a protected end with the peloton.
“I am unable to consider it,” stated Ewan. “I’ve been shut within the final 4 sprints I’ve achieved.
“My staff by no means misplaced religion in me and I by no means misplaced religion in myself.”
Extra to comply with.
